bathtub paint
The very first step in this project was painting the bathtub. It, like all the appliances and counters in the apartment, is a bisque color. Not my fave. So on the Thursday before Father's Day, the day I was flying to Omaha to visit family, I painted with a kit from Home Depot. Three problems - it was a spray paint kit, it was epoxy paint, and it got on EVERYTHING. You don't realize just how much little tiny hair you have until you've spray painted for an hour and a half (three cans' worth), indoors, with a fan going (epoxy paint). I was covered. Everywhere. My index finger is still numb three weeks later, and I looked like I had been snorting heroin despite my respirator mask. The worse part? It still looks bisque covered. Fortunately, the project results did improve, but this was a rough start.
Depot
Depot at Old Prairie Town at Historic Ward-Meade Park. It was originally from Pauline, KS. and it is a Santa Fe Depot.
